Kelvin Bencosme's journey in baseball began in the vibrant heart of Queens, New York, where the crack of the bat and the roar of the crowd at Shea Stadium fueled his dreams to play the game of baseball. In a city celebrated as the melting pot of the world or the Big Apple, for Kelvin, it was the breeding ground for him to compete with top talent and world-class competition. Growing up just four train stops away from the iconic Shea stadium, he cultivated his passion for baseball, idolizing the “Miracle Mets” and the dynamic duo of David Wright and Jose Reyes.

Kelvin now lives a life of public service and has served in different roles for the U.S. Government. In addition, in his free time he enjoys helping kids develop in the game of baseball and contributing to organizations such as the Baseball Foundation. Kelvin dreams of one day utilizing his experience in government and his passion for baseball to become an ambassador for the MLB.
